While it was suggested by a company I'm invested in that SMM is not a credible actor as a price reporting agency, this report is nothing short of a boast from the middle kingdom.
It also highlights ROW concerns wrt dealing with China, from the perspective, cost of battery inputs for domestic China EV OEM's would be well below, lets say 35% lower than ROW, which is allowing China to grow its EV exports at a lower price point or with the luxury of a greater margin per EV unit.
