Just heard someone on AUDBIZ channel saying that a problem with EV batteries is that you can "only charge them 3 - 4 thousand times". He chose not to point out that this means a car that has a range of 350km on full charge will therefore (based on his quote) 'only' achieve 1,050,000 (over a million) kms during its lifespan.
Even if we say the car was recharged every time it reached 50% of charge, rather than run it right down to 1%, you should still get over 500,000 kms out of it. Even my trusty Toyota Rav4 ICE couldn't do that.
