My Tesla is now three years old, the battery capacity has reduced by 1%. I have seen people on the web that have done 200K miles and capacity only dropped 4%. If you had an ICE vehicle that had done 200K miles, you would scrap it. Even if new batteries did cost $30K, it is still cheaper than getting a new car.
