If charging at home via solar, the savings are huge and life of the equipment would see anyone in front within 10 years, Including the EV. $10K per year saving (based on 100L of fuel per week @$2/L). 10KW solar, 30KW batts and inverters (2 x 5KW). Energy needs are covered.
Morgan Stanley and others (large banks) have a vested interest in FF co's and possibly conflict of interest in that they hold and make loans to FF co's which, if ever tightened, would impact on many levels. Not the least, their bottom lines amd future profits. These banks probably also see that EV's are starting to bite into FF expansion via ICE's and want in at the lowest prices but also, if they pick a side and its FF co's then their narrative and $$ could push EV's out. The thing that will eventually play out tho will be the consumer becoming more informed about EV costs, ranges, elimination of exhaust gases, the list goes on. Consumers that save big $$ on conversion will push the change more so than big banks. Efficiency and price will only get better for the consumer imo and the large car co's pressured by FF/banks etc that resist the change to EV's will go the way of the dinosaur and Tesla and Chinese EV autos and possibly some European manufacturers will remain. Should take a decade from here as consumers take up the alternatives to FF based energy production and use. Time will tell.
