I don't know why some of you guys are saying EVs are so expensive.
The top selling car in Australia is an 70 thousand plus 4 wheel drive behemoth called the Hi Lux.
Second on the list is the same type of Ute, also a behemoth 4by4 called a ford Ranger. Cheap hell noooo.
Fuel economy is laughable especially in the city where they spend 90% of their time and build quality is also questionable
especially of the ford, plenty of gremlins reported.
What will likely happen over time is yes EVs will become cheaper with longer ranges and better build quality
so most likely most 2 car house holds ( charging permitting) will have the work horse/towing mans ICE vehicle and the little woman/man will have the EV
family runabout/commute, kids pickup vehicle. How much you send on an EV or an ICE is all relevant to how deep your pockets are.
No different what so ever to having ICE vehicles of the past.
Petrol prices are only going to go one way and it aint pretty.
When it hits $2.50 a litre watch em jump ship then.
