Currently a 400W panel covers 1.6 m2. On a sunny day the solar energy is 1Kw per 1m2 so we could get 1.6 Kw out of the current 400W panel so we are 25% of possible - a long way to go. Battery storage is about 50c per Watt storage. Not great and should be 25% of that..
Considering tho a LiFePo4 batt should last 12 years as should the panels. In that time, advances would be made in storage, production from panels and the costs should be on a $ per Watt basis, cheaper.
Being able to charge a vehicle and remove the considerable fuel costs via solar generation at the home is more of a game changer than removing the average residential home from its energy costs using solar.
Fleet, freight, courier co's and mining co's are and will change over due to the bottom line savings over time compared to fuel. imo.

PLS is still one of the cheapest actual producers of Li spod out there. I see LTR has a small number of large shareholders - enough to block and turn down any current bid by ALB now. Regardless of who owns it, production is years away. Know how is also in short supply which is probably why there have been few takeovers in the space by co's outside the sector.
