Are you suggesting that no company has been brought to its knees by short sellers: had debt covenants related to share price trigger, had a low ball blocking stakes or takeover attempts at suppressed prices like LTR recently which permanently destroys shareholder value, or ultimately failed due to debt or dilution raising capital at artificially suppressed prices? Shorting does that to some companies every year. It's just systemic price manipulation.
