No point digging it out of the ground, paying for the cost of doing so only to stockpile it. it is alreaady "stockpiled" in the ground. Leave it there! It is cheaper.
Secondly, we went through this a few years ago. There were several very sound posts saying that in the stockpiling process the product looses its concentration of Li somehow. It doesnt "keep". There seems to be no good or compelling reason to stockpile it for a longer term.
