In the US, the average price point of all passenger cars is $48,000, and average price point for EV's is just shy of $51,000, so almost there. Given many if not most people lease their car over 3 to 4 year period, slightly higher lease payments for EV will be more than offset by TCO from day one.
Also important to understand, some EV's will qualify for all or part of $7,500 tax credit available for EV's from 1 Jan 24, flipping higher lease payments to ICEV's.
