In a way yes it does. Look at the biggest EV manufacturing nation ie China. It's in their best interest to take the profit from selling the cars not making the raw materials. A big chunk of raw materials comes from Australia, so if they depress raw material costs and pass on the profits to EV makers the more China makes out of the whole supply chain and the less Australia do
