Can anyone see any Chinese repercussions from the US stance?
Yes, China's reaction to the IRA legislation/limitations will likely be in line with why the legislation is in place, i.e. limiting/weaponizing supply.
Does the US think said legislation will improve their access to batteries to maintain their 2030 emissions targets, who knows, but trying to buy time they don't have to advance/bolster their domestic supply chains seems counterintuitive, ah, that's right, the polly's are heavily involved, therefore best to not take anything at face value, they may just be guessing their way through this new fangled, fangle, checks out IMO.
