The other obvious thing to get rid of is the taxing on hybrids/EVs from 1 July 2025.
Adds 33% tariff to each dollar over threshold.
For less than 3.5 l/km (aka EV) kicks in at 89 grand.
For greater than 3.5l/km , kicks in at 76 grand (which accounts for a lot of hybrids).
Used to be 7l/km.
Utes are exempt pretty much (commercial use).
Gets only estimated 155 mill extra revenue, but puts people off buying best EV's/Hybrids.
I would exempt anything under 7l/km.
Another stealth tax which doesn't make sense and is going the wrong way.
