More important than the price of raw materials are the improved technology advancements, competition and economies of scale.
i believe there are a lot of people waiting on the sidelines to buy an EV when there is an improved offering. Right now Tesla and BYD are killing it, but that really only covers off a sporty sedan + SUV options on the Aus market currently.
I know I'm certainly planning on replacing my 15+ year old ICE sedan with an EV in the coming 2-3 years. I'm just waiting on the right vehicle to come to market. Am I adding to current demand? No. Will I be adding to future demand? Absolutely yes.
