I read a report from Benchmark today that spod. price has dropped below US1,000.00 per ton in the new year (could be the spot market)
If it is correct and price persist at this level, that would means the lithium carbonate / hydroxide can be produced below US15,000 per ton, one would assumed that the Chinese will be forced to shut their non economical lithium extraction from lepo. operation all together. (how much tonnage will be off the market???)
All this will take a few weeks / months to play out the effect of lithium price in the next few months and in the longer term, in the short term we will be in the shxt house due to this uncertainty
