Thats a cheap shot mate/miss. He has only repeated what I posted about my information direct from the company and that is I did ring the Aus super and asked about products for my nieces/nephews who were concerned about this 'thing called shorting'.
An Aus Sup investor adviser confirmed that they do not lend out securities to or for shorting.
I am/was as cynical as you are.
I have posted this above and would add the lady I spoke with was well aware of shorting in the market sand was not trying to upsell the product.
I had to endure her disbelief that I would ask the same question tree times in 6 minutes and if I was doubting her honesty.
