IMO it is "rational" - as the Li uptake is not as speedy as at first predicted and will continue as such for a while yet (I am not going to try to predict timeline!)
Also, as the Big Bad Botty BEOT knows full well, there is huge potential in the whole Li sector generally, and PLS in particular, which is why it is doing its damnest to acquire as much stock as possible at depressed prices before the inevitable demand/supply pressures bring about the increased returns we are all invested here for. So I agree with you when you say it will not be "long lasting". Whether prices return to their previous highs is speculative, but increase they surely must as demand eventually exceeds supply.
I am patiently holding all mine until that time.
