I think the better question is will the unions destroy themselves fighting for a slice of a fictional pie and unsustainable wages.
we saw this already in Australia where despite tariffs and subsidies the industry was killed. Not just blaming unions here, but they are certainly inflexible when negotiating wages/conditions that make businesses impossible - leading to closures and offshoring
will Germans buy Chinese cars - they won't have a choice imo........
China is killing the OEM industry in the West. And doing a dam good job of it atm.
