No, I don't think Net Zero is practical. This is because I think that the measures to stop emissions have come too late, they are inadequate, and the damage caused by climate change will come much faster than what is planned for in things like the Paris accords, and in Biden's IRA. There is actually no "solution" to the climate crisis, it has already been set in motion and it's too late to stop it.
We might be able to make it a little bit less awful, and that's worth doing. So yay, renewables! Yay, 15 minute cities!
But personally I am focused on adaptation, not mitigation, I think that's more practical. Get ready, because it's coming.
