Show me a single EV that is "a few $1000" over the price of an equivalent ICE powered vehicle.
My current car is a Corolla Hybrid. New price is $35,837. For my next car I'm considering a Dolphin, Ora or MG4. The Ora is now shifting for under $40K drive away. It is not exactly apples and apples, but it is pretty close.
At this rate, the next generation will be parity. The generation after that, ICE will be the expensive segment. I am not one of those SUV huntin' and fishin' types, maybe those people will just have to pay more. Sucks to be them.
