There's been much discussion on the time it takes to charge a modern EV versus the standard stop at a petrol station with an ICE vehicle. As a Model Y owner just wanted to add my 2 cents.
We have owned the EV for 8 months and with the exception of one road trip between Brisbane and Newcastle (which was flawless and very enjoyable) have not used public chargers as the vehicle is charged in our garage every 2nd or 3rd night. Therefore we have gone from making two stops per week at petrol stations and associated refuling time to no stops. For us the EV has been a time saver when it comes to recharging/refueling.
I think people that have not owned an EV sometimes fail to grasp the idea that with an EV its like having a petrol station at home providing a net time saving for most people.
