Despite China having the highest uptake of EV ownership internationally, their carbon emissions continue to be the worst in the world. By a long way.
And in fact, getting worse. (The reduced slightly during covid, but that's because of the countries manufacturing coming to a halt).
So the rationale of EV adoption reducing carbon emissions seems incorrect.
It is ok to say "I don't care about Chinese carbon emissions because it does not impact me".
But don't try use it as a yardstick, cause it aint.
