Like, that is a ridiculous notion to have to accept.
But you CAN charge to 100%. One could say "I was told if I redline my ICE vehicle on every gear change it would shorten the engine life. That's ridiculous."
Alternatively, EV manafacturers could adopt a Spinal Tap battery display. You'd run it up to 10 most of the time, but it you really needed to, you could go up to ELEVEN every now and then... or all the time if you didn't care about the consequences.
