Agree. Latest short position data (albeit 4 days distant) shows little change, sitting on 21% as at 26th Feb.
Recent reported daily gross short position data shows short selling continuing:
Trading volumes last 3 days (54m, 49.4m, 60.6m) have been well above average ($37m) with numerous large conditional cross trades which indicates selling short and buying back is excelerating.
Days to cover based upon short positions as at 26 Feb remains steady at 17 days. Using ADTV of 20 days there is more risk for the shorters.
Interestingly the higher trading volumes gives shorters more time to cover their positions:
