Probably be disappointed about stable low prices if the auctions are recommencing. In July 2021, no one predicted PLS would get US $1250 for SC5.5. I remember being over the moon. PLS had just started shipping record amounts so obviously the signs of demand had commenced. The signs of demand are there again as the latest increased offtakes signify.

When that inaugural auction was held, PLS was in a trading halt due to a cleansing notice oversight. The SP was $1.77. When trading re-commenced on the 2/8/21, after the auction, the price gapped up. The breakaway gap 178.5-182 has never closed and likely won't, it's a breakaway gap and they don't tend to close. I remember over the next year, every downramper within cooee was calling for that gap to close.

I wonder what the spot and futures will do if this auction pulls in US $1500.
