Lucky you! That cap is not indexed and, at 3.5%pa average inflation, $3 million in real terms halves every 20 years. In 40 years time my granddaughter will have an untaxed limit equivalent to 2024 dollars of $750,000 for her entire post retirement benefits (and likely with an increased life expectancy). In effect the ALP is legislating superannuation out of existence.
