The range question is going to have different answers. Even now, a low-range EV could be MORE attractive for some users, because of the lower weight, purchase price, environmental impact and replacement cost. Chargers can be installed anywhere there is a grid or an off-grid source of electricity, much easier to establish than a petrol station. I speculate that range anxiety will become more of a thing for ICE owners. Country towns will be fretting because the only petrol station in town is going out of business, even when E10 is $5 a litre. They'll have to crowd-fund to keep their ICE vehicles on the road. The council and the local pub and the scout hall will all provide charging stations.
