Yeah, do they wanna make EV's or dont they? Do they really intend to dominate world ev production? because they already do. Tesla's share of sales falling. That will inevitably mean producing cheap EV's in large numbers , exporting them to the rest of the world, cars that are too good to refuse.
Only a US led tariff or protectionist set of arrangements will save the legacy OEMs long term.
Right now , as a current unwilling ICE driver . . .would i buy a BYD or a Tesla . . . . on a bang for buck basis ? The answer is pretty obvious.
