You are, technically, correct. All batteries that utilize lithium ion exchange chemistry are, technically, lithium ion batteries.
In reality, though, only the smaller batteries utilizing the lithium cobalt dioxide chemistry are (usually) referred to as lithium ion batteries, while the larger car batteries utilizing LFP or NCM chemistry tend to be referred to as “car batteries” or “EV batteries.” The main exception to that would be during shipping, when formal transportation hazard communication formalities must be observed, in which case they’re ALL lithium ion batteries.
If you still disagree, I’ve been wrong before, but that is how the nomenclature is utilized here in the States.
