the fact is we are not very good at predicting the future and there is a strong view started by Benjamin Graham, the father of security analysis that you should only go with what is known.
eg he used to value stocks on the basis of assets alone, but you can only use that method of valuation when valuing what Peter Lynch called asset plays.
I value on the basis of what is known and go from there.
At the moment PLS is still no bargain
