Considering the top 3 vehicles sold last year were the Ranger, HiLux and D-Max (as I have posted about before), it would be political suicide to penalise this market segment. Radicalised and vocal Greenies, or not.
Bowen keeps pushing the "we want to give Australians more choice" rhetoric.
We already have choice, and few are choosing EVs.
That's the reality.
So... they have to push/force/coerce (choose whatever term you are comfortable with) the motoring public towards EVs, like it or not.
I can't wait to have a front row set in 3-5 years time, once reality and widespread terrible EV ownership experience sets in with this unfolding EV cluster f##k, and the radical Greens start loosing seats and become a distant memory with the backlash. We're already seeing this overseas, and we tend to lag behind.
