"I believe why Nuclear power should be considered is to secure base load power supplies. Renewable sources alone won't cut it."
Nuclear energy has a very good working result in many parts of the world and produces "green" energy. In fact the opposition of the Greens has been at the expense of the world as a whole. Labor simply does not understand it so it is unlikely to happen.
However, it is not needed for base load power, that can be done by battery storage with Vanadium redox flow batteries once Australia starts producing its own Vanadium.
