Sigma Lithium produced 105kt in its first year of operation, 2023. The plant nameplate is 270kt, apparently. In the first quarter of CY 2024, they produced 52.8kt.
That is still well short of design nameplate. They sold 102kt (from a different article) of SC for $135.1M revenue so the average price may have been weighted down due to the Lithium price at the back half of 2023.
So now the phase 2 expansion is underway to increase production to 520ktpa.
They haven’t even reached nameplate for Phase 1 a year in. I wonder if all the supply spreadsheets have plugged that in.
