Toyota spent $12 Billion on lithium R&D last year. They have investments in an operating lithium mine in Argentina and a refinery in Japan. They are building a lithium battery manufacturing facility that will produce batteries in 2027 for EV to do 1000km per charge and charge 10-80% in under 15 min. They will have 30 EV models by 2030.
