I'm not spreading false information whatsoever.
SA regularly runs on 100% renewables for extended periods of time. Roughly half the days in each year are met with full renewable energy, and the majority for the rest.
The reason they are not yet at 100% for the full year is not because it can't be done, or issues with stability without gas or coal generators. That was my point. They just aren't fully there yet in the rollout of syn con capacity and grid forming inverters.
When people start crowing that renewables won't work because you need coal and or gas generators for grid stability, that is 100% incorrect and false information.
It can be done cheaper, faster and more reliably with solar, wind and batteries.
Even the info you quoted states " requirements for gas generators to maintain system services reduced following installation of synchronous converters"
Why do you state going 100% renewable would be irresponsible? SA are doing so and will be there in 3 years time.
Are the electrons somehow inferior to you?
