Hey Aussie Friends,
You may have missed this. UK energy supplier Octopus Energy are trailing free charging of electric vehicles at home if you have the option for compatible vehicle to grid (V2G) charging.
This is based on the idea that they can sell some of the stored energy in your EV into the evening peak when it's expensive and then recharge it cheaply overnight.
They state it could save almost £900 ($1,700 AUD), which further flips the EV vs ICE economics on its head.
Imagine never having to pay for 90% of the miles you drive. .
