I've already posted about this before.
The CEO of Suncorp specifically stated EV's and Battery storage devices DO NOT combust at any greater rate than the fossil fuel alternatives.
The fires are more intense, burn longer and are harder to put out. It requires better preventative measures, but the incidents themselves happen at no greater frequenecy.
It's a total myth perpetuated by individuals politics. There is plenty of propaganda on both sides.
