I can see your perspective. And one announcement does not change the current reality.Personally, I think the well healed, trendy early uptakers of EVs is saturated, especially in western countries. The next phase is the every day EV for the masses which has only just started, thanks to China.
Tesla have finished milking almond latte set to fund their operations and are now ready to sell 7eleven $1 take away coffees with pretty much the same ingredients.The software margins are gone forever in this space for the majority of Telsa models.
