When I said “wherever electricity is available” I did mean it to include electricity that was produced by any method.
That leaves it open for any type of renewable energy to be used for charging, including hydroelectric, like this one built back in 1933:

The hydroelectric plant at Paronella Park is 91 years old and is operating, the ev charging station available to motorists (for free) that visit the park, is only a few years old.
