"Aided by a view of TA which sometimes has an uncanny way of predicting fundamentals?
(By which I mean those in the know sometimes signal their knowledge via their market actions?)"
TA predicts fundamentals only if you consider the share price movements are the fundamentals. What matters in TA is the share price. Some FA may say the fair value of PLS is $2 or $6. But good does that do when the reality is it is trading around $4.20 at present?
This is from Investopedia:
"The core assumption is that all known fundamentals are factored into price; thus, there is no need to pay close attention to them. Technical analysts do not attempt to measure a security's intrinsic value, but instead, use stock charts to identify patterns and trends that suggest what a stock will do in the future."
