Honestly though, all governments have a responsibility to protect existing industry within their own countries to an extent.
A tariff to protect local manufacturing is not a bad thing, provided it's sensible.
My view is that we should actually abolish LCT now that we no longer make our own cars.
This could even open up the US as another lithium market for us to sell directly into.
