Just got around to watching your posted vid, Sunny, and noticed it mirrored my thoughts on the subject of US tariff dynamics (more or less) albeit posted some three hours after your said vid. Anyway, nice to see my analysis validated by someone with credentials. In any case, the vid was a good find from someone with a purely rational/analytical perspective other than a random HC poster. Cements my growing conclusion that the Yank car industry will eventually end up at the bottom of the bay sleeping with the fishes. For some reason, the Yanks just don't realize just how fast the world is changing, has changed over the last circa 25 years in terms of advancing tech, and the exponential course of said tech advances feeding off each other. Sadly, I can only surmise that their culture of protectionist politics, gas guzzling vehicles and their elevated oil supply limits their ability to see the endgame. And god help them if Trump regains the presidency.
Meanwhile, China is gearing up for a victory dance.
