Vehicles are not an investment to make money. You lose money the moment you sign a contract to buy.
Do folk honestly buy the latest TV and hope that its resale value holds. No.
Did consumers who purchased the first Beta video player think resale was going to be good?
EV prices coming down is a good thing, not a negative. First adopters should know that prices will come down. If they didn’t, well, they haven’t learnt many lessons during their life about consumer goods, mass production and competition.
I’ve purchased two luxury cars recently. I expect to lose money and knew that if I waited a couple of years, I would save between $50-100k. Did that stop me purchasing, knowing that. No.
ICE vehicle end of year sales have slashed prices off current models for as long as I can remember. Is there a headline article about that.
