Do folk honestly compare cars that cost $70k plus to household appliances?
But yes, to your point.
Not a single person buys a brand new car in the hope it goes up in value.
With the very obvious exception of some limited run Porsches that are never worth less than the day they were new.
I'm not convinced about the depreciation argument against EVs.
Haven't done the maths, but suspect it's no worse than any other boring family car.
