I agree with you (and @dordles). I merely expressed what I HOPED would happen.

As stated in my post, Dale and the BOD have historically been conservative, and there's a good chance that we will receive no dividend at all. I was merely making the point that my personal belief is that the market would probably like to see PLS pay a small dividend, because it shows confidence, and keeps hope alive that they WILL payout to investors. The trick is finding the proper balance between capital conservation and shareholder returns.

In a perfect world (again, in MY OPINION), PLS would spend the money that we "earn" for a dividend on a share repurchase. Shareholders still benefit, and it WILL help dividend payouts in the future, when we're ready for them, because any payout will be spread over fewer shares, and Wall Street seems to LOVE share buybacks. Share buybacks are the ultimate long-term investment, because the effects of EPS and dividends are forever.
