ULTIMATELY - China is going to wipe the worlds floor with better quality vehicles due to cheap labor, advanced robotics and better quality - and they will be EV's. Sadly, the legacy manufacturers will be unable to compete on price or quality, particularly dubious US quality vehicles. Protectionism to maintain the lives of legacy manufacturers can only last for so long before the specter of a backward-looking Cuba like FF remnants begins to look foolish for advanced western countries like the US and Europe, and they will capitulate. It's just a matter of time and we have entered the quickening - of tech.
