I'm being somewhat facetious with this comment.
It's in response to the simpletons who know nothing about the auto industry comparing the likes of Toyota to Kodak.
If we are making over simplified, throw away comments such as that, then yes, Tesla are the Blackberry of the EV sector.
As I've said above, the parallels with Blackberry (who were at the forefront of the smart phone world) are clear ...
-A newcomer to the sector with a somewhat revolutionary and quirky tech.
-Has some initial success with early trendy adopters.
-Doesn't quite hit the mark with the masses though.
-A bit too expensive.
-Existing players enter the sector with far superior and more affordable options.
In all honesty though. It's very likely that Ford/Toyota etc will not become Kodak, nor will Tesla become Blackberry.
