Since digested, Chinese and German trade commissioners have entered a rare dialog to negotiate a deal whereby Chinese EV's can be sold tariff free into Europe - based on a quid-pro po. Should these negotiations prove fruitful, it could have a detrimental effect on American and future Canadian EV tariff measures.
