We'll see. The scare is that recent inspections indicate the Chinese have found a way to operate integrated lepidolite mines profitably at these price levels. Whether they can do it if prices fall another 15-20% due to expanding inventories as Citi claim is a different matter.
Citi would say that as they are recommending to clients to short certain lithium contracts. As they say, the cure for low prices is low prices...the other variable being how long China can mine to lepidolite depletion.
