Apparently the auction was to a few selected companies so is that real price discovery? ALB management showing how bad they are, again.
We continue to wade through the murky waters of dodgy analysis and misinformation.
Is GWh being deployed growing at a rate that outpaces or aligns with supply growth? If we can work that out, we have found the holy grail. They s sector will continue to swing wildly for many years. We all make choices on where we are in the current cycle.
I do remember US $300-400 SC6 price. If it gets to that again, only some briners will still be producing. Not even Greenbushes will survive that. At US $800, only the Tier 1 hardrockers will produce and they won’t expand at that price and would also consider curtailment. At US $1200, we get status quo. At sustained > $1500 price, we have Tier 1 producers expanding production. At $2000+ prices, we have higher cost curve supply entering the market.
At some point, mass uptake tipping point will swing the demand equation.
So many variables. All IMO.
