Some fun facts on Greenbushes, the acknowledged best Hardrock Lithium deposit currently in production. Have a look at the recoveries for one of their plants. Yes, they have SC6 coming out but the grades should mean much higher recoveries. The fact that they have a reprocessing plant for tailings means they don’t quite have a good handle on the operation of the main plants.
Looking forward to all the improvements that should arrive with the P680/P1000/Midstream projects.
During 2023 (Jan-Jun) CGP2 processed 1,037,617 t of ore at an average grade of 2.18% Li2O and recovered 67.9% of the lithium (versus a predicted recovery of 76.9%) into 256,512 t of concentrate at an average grade of 6.00% Li2O.
During 2022 CGP2 processed 1,999,006 t of ore at an average grade of 1.96% Li2O and recovered 64.0% of the lithium (versus a predicted recovery of 74.3%) into 419,246 t of concentrate at an average grade of 5.98% Li2O.
